The Students' Board (BDE) is an association for students at the School who wish to take part in the cultural, sporting and festive activities that form the social life of the School.
The BDE organises the "induction weekend" (WEI), which takes place on the last weekend in September, coordinates the activities of all the clubs and associations in the School and organises a number of theme evenings. Amongst the key events of the year are the "Polytech'Neige weekend" in Grenoble and the "Inter-Polytech", a major sports tournament for all students in the Polytech Group. The university also has a large number of sports and cultural facilities to make for an enjoyable, fulfilling student life.
