Semestre 7
  7.3 Materials (613300)
    Semiconductor materials 1 (613330)

Teacher(s) : Didier DECOSTER / Joseph HARARI

Section CNU : 63

ECTS : 2.5

Objectives to be met

To explain the link between the device characteristics, the specific properties of semiconductor materials, and the technology involved.

Course description

Starting from the physics of bipolar transistor and MOSFET, this course describes the technological processes including CMOS technology.
It shows the specific properties of III-V materials and compares to Silicon material. The last part of the course is dedicated to the the different material elaborations (Substrate, diffusion, implantation, oxydation, épitaxy)
and to their characterisation methods.
