Research

The faculty members carry out their resarch work in the following laboratories at the University of Science and Technology of Lille (USTL) :

puce Laboratoire d'Informatique Fondamentale de Lille (LIFL) puce Institut d'Electronique, Microélectronique et Nanotechnologies (IEMN) puce Laboratoire d'Electrotechnique et d'Electronique de Puissance de Lille (LEEP) puce Laboratoire d'Automatique, Génie Informatique et Signal de Lille (LAGIS)

Alongside the 5th year of the IMA course, some students also prepare for a research master's degree in one of the following fields :

Computer science, Electronics, Electrical engineering, Industrial automation and computer science puce Instrumentation and advanced analysis.

Projects and placements

Activities in the form of studies, projects and placements are spread over the three years of the course :

3rd year : 1 to 2-month professional immersion placement during the summer 4th year : 2 to 3-month assistant engineer placement during the summer puce 5th year : 4 to 6-month engineer placement (from mid-March).

The project starts in the 3th year and carries on through the 5th year. It is often done in pairs and leads to a study and/or technical production linked to the chosen department specialisation.

Placement and projects may be carried out in France or abroad in a university laboratory or in a company.
