Assessment

Students are evaluated in different ways.
  • Supervised exercises (DS): these are exercises, problems to be solved in a limited time and individually.
  • Home work (occasional): this involves deeper, more detailed study of a topic and is done over a given period, outside teaching time.
  • Assignments (Lab)/Tutoring: writing a summary in class or at home based on studies carried out and results obtained after Lab or Tutoring.
  • Test on practical work (Lab): design, experimentation or simulation work to be done in a limited time and individually in a TP situation.
  • reports, project and oral presentations :
    • report : a summary, presenting the principles involved and a description of the work done.
    • oral : an oral presentation in front of a jury of 2 to 4 lecturers.

Exams may take place during classes or at the end of a semester.

Marks range from 0 (minimum) to 20 (maximum).
